Peanut Butter Cookies

So I had a craving for peanut butter cookies the other day, and after searching through Pinterest, I found this recipe. (I guess these are also known as Welfare Peanut Butter cookies, as the recipe was originally found on the back of the generic canisters of peanut butter at food banks.)

2 1/2 c flour
1/2 t salt
1/2 t baking soda
1 c fat*, at room temperature
1 c peanut butter
1 c white sugar
1 c brown sugar, packed
2 eggs

(*note: I used 1/2 c butter, 1/2 c Crisco)

Preheat oven to 375°.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt and baking soda. Set aside.
Cream the room temperature fat (butter, Crisco). Add the peanut butter and mix well. Add both sugars, and mix until creamed further. Add eggs and beat well.
Add the flour mixture to the peanut butter mixture.
Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased baking sheet. Use a fork to flatten with a criss-cross design.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until browned. (Time will vary based on the size of your cookies.)

  1. Teresa,
I don't know why it took me so long to find this, because it was right there in my face all along, but I just happened upon it today! I knew it was you because of this post about the peanut butter cookies! Now, I am feeling so guilty because I forgot to send you any kind of thank you whatsoever!!!! I intended to email you, and then it slipped my mind. Anyway, the cookies were divine. They reminded me of my mom's and that is a huge compliment. Mine never turn out as good, so I am so glad you shared the recipe here. Thanks again!!!!

  3. Hi,

I came across your site http://good-grace.blogspot.com while searching Google for blogs talking about growing/gardening equipment and related keywords and was wondering if you'd be open to doing a sponsored blog post.

We have a site that growing/gardening equipment and are looking for more exposure online.

Our budget for this is initially $20 for the post and we would give you the blog post (gardening related & already written) as well as a picture to post. All you would have to do is post it.

Here's a sample post we did on another blog: http://homefurniturebiz.com/grow-lights/

We're really just testing out different bloggers, and if you bring some good traffic, we're totally open to doing an annual banner ad!

Also if you have some other blogs, please send them over and I'll take a look and we might be open to doing a post on those as well!

Let me know if you'd be open to this!

    Regards,

    Vanessa
